Great news;

http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/local-news/chuggers-set-to-be-banned-from-birmingham-as-new-290667

So when will we in West Berks be freed from the pestilential menace that is chugging and churgling?

They ask everyone them folk. I spent 7 hours detailing my car for a show and I forgot to buy some Milk for my Coco Pops. So I popped to Sainsburys around 3-4pm.

Parked up, admiring my handiwork as I walked away..
"car wash sir?" -in an african accent.

I actually said "does it look dirty to you?"
"oh certainly sir"

At this point I laughed and walked away.

To quote Rich Hall, if you don't have the intelligence to spot when someone is walking at you with a clip board you should probably be forced to be a Chugger yourself. Although that's a new term I learnt today. Didn't know what it meant till I looked at t'article.

I'm given to understand the chuggers are paid handsomely per sign-up, and ut takes many months for the charity to receive a penny of the donation.........

As for the supermarket car washers I'm also told a quiet mention of things like 'UKBA' 'Passport' and 'Visa' eliminate the problem. Me, I find that stereotyping reprehensible.
