As individuals, we can do very little, but as a group we can discuss the issues online to keep the pressure up by making sure it doesn't get swept under the carpet.

Prosecuting those who are caught does not appear to prevent the incident occurring in the first place. For the victim the damage is done and any judicial intervention only placates the collective conscience of the great unwashed. I would be interested to know the psychiatry behind the perpetrator's reasoning when it is obvious that they will one day be brought to justice but the damage caused in the interim can never be put right.

What about the epidemic of football coaches, media moguls and stars, MPs etc? All examples of abuse but not brown so doesn't "boil your blood" or you might argue that in those cases it's all gone too far... Muslims are brown, but your racism is transparent.

I'm not sure what colour Islam is though. The issue of football coaches has/is being addressed with not doubt more to come. Just like every other group of nasties that are coming to light.

The only two issues that occupy the thoughts on here on an ongoing basis are Halal and Rochdale/abuse/German new year . The BBC has reported lots of news. No one denies these things happen, the issue is why of all the things to get angry about, why these two? Is the factor common to both a clue?

But actually, it's ignorant to describe Rochdale as a "Muslim issue". It's a cultural issue around Pakistani men. Coincidentally most Pakistanis are Muslims.

Indeed, the crime itself is now old news, as is the fact that at the time many of the victims who tried to report it were branded as racists, the authorities really need to wake up to the fact that many people regard our society as broken and are all too willing to take advantage of the fact for their own sick pleasures.

A bit like 30 tears of FGM being a crime and not a single prosecution. Again its not a muslim thing. Its about the laws of the land being applied fairly across all communities.
