QUOTE (Andy Capp @ Dec 8 2015, 11:28 PM) I probably spend more time on YouTube than TV. I tend to start watching series, but then lose interest or start forgetting it is on: Peaky Blinders is an example of that. My last must see was the Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes stuff. I thought pb totally incomprehensible.

I think I’ve weaned myself off any regular telly watching. Years of having teenage kids who monopolised the viewing or hid the remote to prevent anything other than dire X Fuctor/Celebrity Car Washing/Strictly Mind Numbing has lead me to prefer to retreat to the Man Cave, drag out the vinyl and listen to The Jam rather than put my body through it again. I have however enjoyed watching The Last Kingdom series on BBC2 (which has the bonus of no adverts). Historical nonsense probably, but blood and guts and Vikings which has kept me entertained. Some of the popular TV series of recent years had such convoluted plots that they started to disappear up their alimentaries and were trying to be a bit too clever for the likes of me..... My wife watched them.... “24” “Lost” “Homeland” “Under The Dome” The last series I watched on the telly that made sense was the Rugby World Cup

QUOTE (On the edge @ Dec 9 2015, 10:13 PM) I must admit, I don't make any real effort to watch anything. It's really become rather like the car radio, simply 'background' to drown out any other noise. I suppose news programmes coincide with meal times, but I'd be just as happy with the wireless. Wireless? What in bealzebubs name is a wireless? Is that the thing with the cats whisker and Chrystal? Dear heavens, Marconi will be spinning in his grave!

Always minutely researched and superbly written. Good stuff.

QUOTE (Turin Machine @ Dec 10 2015, 12:57 AM) Sport mainly revolves around Rugby Union. Yes, I will usually watch the BT Sports club games, mainly for Bath (who are cobblers at the moment) though.

QUOTE (GMR @ Dec 9 2015, 04:27 PM) - The Daily Politics show
- Newsnight
- CSI Cyber
- Egg heads
- Arrow/ Flash (I don't have Sky, just Freeview. Both these programmes I bought on DVD).
I work in IT. I find CSI Cyber very annoying for the sheer amount of BS that's in there from a technological standpoint.

QUOTE (newres @ Dec 16 2015, 10:43 PM) I don't ever watch regular TV. I've just finished my first series though on Netflix. Homeland 1-4. I'm going to try Breaking Bad next. I fancy The Bridge too but my wife's not keen on the subtitles. Breaking bad is epic! Bridge is great too, ideal for sat nights.
