Was wondering if Newburytoday can possibly find out what happened last night around midnight when over 10 police cars / riot vans where given chase to the same location heading towards Lambourn from Newbury through stockcross. It was the most amazing sight i've seen while driving on the road. Why so many cop cars and vans? Something very serious must of went on for the whole of Newbury police to be heading to one location and i meen fast! I believe they may have been after a stolen car after a serious crime took place? When something amazing like this happens you have to go find out whats going on. They were all driving around the slip roads, parked up and going on and off the M4? They were looking for something!

Would be great to find this out.

Nope, they went through there, along the country road of the B4000, through Wickham and around the slip roads of the M4.

Ah ha, i see, i must of been the one following your friend then. Funny how Thames Valley Police say there was no record of any incident during that time, hmm must of been my imagination.

The actual quote was

"there was no record of any incident in the area around that time."

Welford and Lambourne are not exactly neighbours.

Perhaps they were chasing an exploding firework.
