QUOTE (TallDarkAndHandsome @ May 31 2019, 08:31 PM) 😂😂😂 Look it up.. I did and couldn’t find any. But plenty that Farage is but I don’t suppose that bothers you or any other Brexit party “members”. How is it being in a party in which one man makes the rules? Do you think that would be a good model for government? Didn’t work out well last time.

QUOTE (TallDarkAndHandsome @ Jun 1 2019, 08:20 AM) Tony Blair? I wouldn't p1ss on him if he was in fire. L1ar and war criminal. Doesn’t make him wrong though. I’m no fan either.

QUOTE (newres @ Jun 1 2019, 07:21 AM) Such an obvious reality, yet it never occurred to me. We’re either a lap dog for the US or one of the three big members of the EU. Big members. https://twitter.com/thehistoryguy/status/11...5460112390?s=21Yes, so obvious that it didn't even occur to Tony Blair when he actually had power! In reality, we never have been big members - that has always remained France and Germany. We simply took and stayed in the role of rich sucker. Sure, fourty years back, we could have asserted ourselves and become a 'big' member, but all the time we had politicians in the Tony Blair mold around, that was never going to happen.

QUOTE (je suis Charlie @ Jun 1 2019, 08:03 PM) Whilst I believe him to be a bit of a clown let's not forget that London, the biggest single electorate in the UK elected him to the post of lord mayor not once, but twice. Snigger at your peril. Newres like a a poll. Here's one I made earlier today.. https://mobile.twitter.com/britainelects/st...897907319132160🤣🤣 I have a funny feeling Labour and the Tories may now consider electoral reform... funny that.

We’ve already had a referendum on electoral reform.

QUOTE (je suis Charlie @ Jun 2 2019, 07:02 AM) When was that? Must have missed that one. Not just you. I love the irony of wishing to revisit it though by the Brexit folk.

Are you basing your assumption that Farage won't get elected on the same principle that Cameron had in that the vast majority of the country would vote to remain in the EU? Just because you don't fancy the idea of a "dictator" doesn't mean that one won't appear via the back door. History, (remember that?), shows that the unexpected is always an option and if we do end up with an ultra right party in charge then there is only one element to blame and that's the left. Personally I would rather have a disciple of Attila the Hun than Corbyn, but hopefully neither will happen.

I'd rather be American than Venezuelan.🤣🤣🤣 I have no desire for a Corbyn government at all. I feel our economy is in safer hands with Labour though because they will not allow any deal that would be catastrophic. The middle ground is where eventually we’ll sort things out. Both Corbyn and Farage are divisive. If Labour ditched Corbyn, Brexit would get nowhere.

And I'm not including Blair / Brown as they were not really "Labour". I honestly believe that as at least 40% of the Country are now so entrenched in A Brexit position this Country could go "5 star".. and the remoaners will be at fault by failing to compromise on an exit.
