I wonder how may other people have visited the refurbished Waitrose Cafe and been disappointed.
My instant impression yesterday was that it was cramped. I had understood that it was, along with the rest of the store, to be improved - I don't think so though.
Apparently there are more seats, but even they feel uncomfortable.
I guess they want people to carry on shopping and not spend too much time drinking tea or coffee!! angry.gif

It's the cheapest coffee shop in town - free coffee.

However, Mrs B has visited and was distinctly unimpressed by the 'improvements'.

I see Thatcham Waitrose is also going to have a coffee shop soon.

Pity they didn't consult you about the design. Big mistake apparently.
The parking is free though.

I largely agree. The chairs are uncomfortable on the back of my legs. It usually has a good range of free newspapers, but I had to poke up the the Torygraph yesterday as I couldn't find a Times - but the tables are too small for both me and Mrs. K. to read a paper. They have a good range of cakes and the coffee is Ok too.

I find it the best coffee place after a walk in Snelsmore - there are very few convenient places where you can take dogs for a coffee and at least my girls can sit in the car in their free car park.

I pay for my coffee. I just feel a bit uncomfortable with free stuff - Methodist work-ethic I guess.

I try not to pay for my coffee. I feel very comfortable with free stuff - Retirement Income non-work ethic I guess. laugh.gif
