Despicable former Manager of Newbury's Dog's Trust Shop sentenced to two years
for large scale theft from shop she managed:

An appropriate sentence for once as guidelines from HMG seem to be to never lock the fairer sex up,
except in exceptional circumstances.
Perhaps having a female judge in charge helped in this case.

I agree. Seems like a fair and appropriate sentence. I will also say that spiraling debt, pay day loans, bailiffs and debt recovery companies pile misery onto people who then go out and do stupid things out of desperation.

Wonder how they didn't miss it until an "internal audit"?
That's £1000 a week disappearing!

£26 grand seems one h**l of a turnover for a charity shop, and considering it wasn't missed until an audit one concludes that the reason behind the number of these outlets is now obvious.

The big problem is that reading this people will be less willing to give money to charities, assuming that it's just wasting it. Fags ,Booze and big screen TV probably.
