Tricky one. Years of inaction from Obama have left the world a very dangerous place. Trumps between a rock and a hard place
Blow the sh1t out of North Korea and risk ww3 or just leave him be to inevitably try something stupid himself. I reckon Trump and the USA will roll the dice.... 💀

Then there is the third option, North Korea becomes the new USSR and we have another Cold War. Nuclear weapons can't be uninvented and in reality, the only viable option for control is for a significant decommissioning and strict policing and enforcement by a strong United Nations. This would necessarily include America who in political terms are now far less stable than anyone would ever have imagined. Yes, the World is now a very dangerous place.

Years of inaction from Obama?

Why was it down to Obama to fix the world's problems?

Quite.

Ironically, during these lethargic years, we weren't threatening to throw nuclear weapons at each other, is that we are now really progress?

Whatever progress we may have made to world peace the USA now seems to be moving the world all too rapidly towards something rather unpleasant.

It was Russia that won WWII and that's not a regieme I'd want policing world affairs.
