Thieving is bad enough, but why make a mess of the place as well?

Interestingly Rio's take out in the eight bells was closed on Sunday night so I presume that the area would have been pretty 'dead'. I would imagine the thieves took advantage of this. Whilst no CCTV exists in Bart Street this will continue to happen.

Rio's was also broken into a couple of weeks ago.

And with our new ConDem government they've promised that CCTV expansion into Bart St is never going to be a possibility........

I Agree. CCTV should be 2 things.

1. Concentrated in areas where crime persists.
2. Mobile. So if the problem moves elsewhere the Cameras can follow.

It should not be used though as a general way of monitoring people all over the place.

A terminator would prove quite useful if we programmed it to 'remove' some elements of our sick society!

This is not a laughing matter.

You should know that you can't do this. it would interfere with their human rights. But good thought however. An exploding purple dye that bursts out when the safe door is opened would be good. Make them easily recognisable when they tried to buy their drugs or even if they could be got into a police line up. Even then, I expect they would get away with it when their brief explained that they were opening a bottle of blackcurrent for their dear old gran which they spilled on themselves. There wasn't a mess on the flat floor though as they got all their mates together to clean up and redecorate after the accident.

...imagine how dangerous scrumping would have been when we were all lads! Sounds great! tongue.gif

I will say though, what's the chance that this was a burglary to finance more drugs? wink.gif
