I hate cinemas.

Way too expensive
Daylight robbery for food and drink - woe betide anyone trying to sneak bag of supermarket-bought Maltesers (other sweets are available)
Too much chatting and not enough watching.
Someone who has seen it 20 times before insisting to tell their mates what happens next.
Surly staff who have no concept of customer service
lousy films with very little plot that rely on effects rather than story.

Agree but you will find clever people take in their own.

Don't generally find this but then again I don't go to the cinema during half term wink.gif

Nope never experienced this, if it was somebody I knew though I would tell them shut up.

True but you get this everywhere so just bounces off of me

Why thank you.

Sometimes you just have to be in a lighter mood. It just about keeps one sane tongue.gif

Don't think there is much point in inviting Darren for a night out at the cinema.

The food at cinemas are too expensive.... that is why most people bring their own in. Cinemas don't do a strip search. Just put your food in another bag.

I think the new cinema will bring new life to the town, because i should think there will be swarms of people going to Newburys cinema. Plus when the films finish people will want to visit the shops on the way. ( thats if its during the day time) so i think the shops will pick up too.

I also got told that the cinema is being built into the 2nd floor of the kennet centre... which few people know about exists!! so i think thats where some screens will go.

I for one am very excited about the cinema, as people said, it wont be so arduous having to go to Reading or Basingstoke. Just hop on a bus and go into newbury. Lets hope some nice food outlets go with it e.g. Nandos yummy

I agree, we must look at the cinema in a positive light and hope it brings in a lot of money for the town.

Can't anyone last a couple of hours without eating? Why eat in a cinema?
