That's exactly what I'm implying! And I'm still not sure whether you're joking about being outraged? Please just be straight are you serious? And if so what is it that's upset you about this?

So i thought the joke was that it was even looked at by the filth. Complete waste of time and resources. What is it you're not happy about?

Apparently one is not allowed to call it stop c**k or a ball c**k or anything else that the over sensitive may find offensive. So now you just call your local plumber and say you have a "problem" and he/she takes a deep intake of breath and quotes the GNP of a banana republic on a take it or leave it basis.
But at least you know you won't be accused of using none pc language. rolleyes.gif

Are you actually offended becaise the forum admin has taken a pre emptive measure so that I can't call you a ****?

I assumed this was a bit of a joke? SW's post suggests he doesn't...

Given some of the language, some of the words and some of the attitudes I see on here, I think Ultra Right is a perfectly fitting term for some on here.

I will take issue with that statement; people become addicted for various reasons but very few are forced against their will. To blame society for the position they find themselves is insulting to the millions that do not go down that road. Maybe if we addressed the reasons for rather than debating over the position of the proverbial gate after, we may have a better chance.
What I do agree with is the principal of decriminalising those who are addicted providing they do not use illegal means to feed their habit but there is big money to be made and the dealers are not going to give up their trade and work in a local call centre without a fight.

Who blamed society? You appear to responding to Newres but they didn't mention it.

Don't worry, Brexit is dead on the vine now. Just sit back, hold on, grit your teeth and watch while the cabalistic EU flays us alive as an example to the other 27 that "this is what happens if you dare to want to upset the gravy train". The pain is coming.

Yeah. It's mental that so many gammons voted for that. I don't see the attraction.

Is catching them not sufficient response for you?

Nope. Responding at the time and preventing some of them would have been much better. They were caught by chance and the people concerned have all expressed that there was no response at the time.

I currently work in a very posh jewish suburb of Manchester. There were 4 knifepoint muggins this week and the police responded to none of them. They have now caught the alleged perpetrators so I will be interested to see what happens now.

Less than half the country voted for it, so we shouldn't even be at this juncture anyway. I agree about JC though, I really thought he was going to be radical and keep the pressure on. Whether you like him or not he offered a very different alternative. But now he just sits on the fence critcising.

I've changed my mind on the whole 2nd referendum thing. We shouldn't have one now, it's too late it's done.

Brexit is stupid, and already has caused so much discourse and hardship, and will continue to do so. There is nothing socially to be gained now, we are divided and the baby boomers have again messed everything up for everyone else. But we have let them, and so there is only one way forward. Get behind the worst prime minister we've had for years and get behind what is widely considered to be a terrible deal for everyone.

The only thing we have is damage limitation and a nod to trying to save a bit of the economy, only stability and certainty will encourage business to settle down and start to invest again. So that's what we need to do.

Maybe a general election after a leadership contest in the summer. Let the Mp's do it on their own time.

Access is a fair point, I don't know how easy it is to get a charger installed. But charging (at home) has got to be easier at the end of the day than going to a fuel station.

But it's fine, and it's a good thing just why didn't the users take the cars and use them properly. This is only a failure of the end user.

I have been quite annoyed about the whole thing this year. It seems to have become a competition as to who can "OUT-REMEMBERANCE" each other. The poppy appeal and remembrance are two different things and seem to have been lumped in together, social media has been alight with everyones photos of themselves doing things. It's like comic relief, and for me it should be humble, and quiet. I can totally understand why some people are saying it's glorifying war, although I don't think it is, but it's about glorifying individuals now remembering the way. I even saw a competition where you could "win" a place at the front of a parade in London. My local town facebook page is awash with people sharing videos of their offspring singing amazing grace and other unrelated songs as part of the ceremony and it all just seems wrong to me.

I don't think it's funny, I think it's very sad. I've driven some of these electric and hybrid cars and they are very good. Maybe not as rep cars but for pootling around town and that they are brilliant. We have to stop pandering to business so much but we have a tory government who care about nothing else.

It's just a derogatory term for people who are generally older (Baby boomers mostly), who huff and puff on about things like brexit, making themselves pink in the face. Far less offensive than some of the names I see on here. Libtard for example.

Do you call him Walter after Walter Mitty? I see the term used a lot but never saw the film. I was gonna ask but actually now that I've started typing I realise I can just use google...

Quick Edit.... It was a book first!

Yup, been making it up all the time. Surprised? Not really.

That isn't what the story says though. Misrepresentation in theory is very different to "making it up".
