https://www.donaldjtrump.com/

I do wonder how an immigration official is supposed to tell if someone is a muslim or not?

Or do they just stop any brown person and any white person with a large beard from coming into the USA? laugh.gif

He is so right wing he makes Maggie look like Corbyn.

The frightening thing is... he'll most likely win. blink.gif

Just in passing, followers of Islam are Muslims. I don't know if it's an intentional smear or not, but a "moslem" is an Arabic term for something quite different.

I agree that Trump's politics are hideous and hateful, and I too worry that him delivering his bile from a position of celebrity and not a little commercial success will lend his odious views some acceptability.

The bigger worry is not the politician (he'll say anything for votes), but the people who appear to lack critical thinking who would vote for him.

Lots of votes from gun toting red necks. It's in the constitution.

In 2/3 years we could have

Leader of France: Le Penne
Leader of USA: Trump
Leader of Russia: Putin
Leader of Britain: Cameron

Dare I say he'd be my choice outta those 4 to lead a Country? blink.gif

And your boys got an itchy trigger finger! President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday that the Caliber cruise missiles launched from the submarine could be equipped with nuclear warheads but said he hoped they would "never be needed in the fight against terrorism".

Well a dose of instant sunshine might sort out the Middle East; and I'm sure we could find a way to safely use radioactive petrol ohmy.gif

What is more surprising is the Republican party's lack of response. If a Tory or a Labour member/ MP said that they would be thrown out of the party and disowned.

Should he be banned from this country (as some people are calling for): no. His words should be challenged.

If he became President it would be impossible to carry out. You don't have religion on your passport. If you ask a Terrorist what is his religion he will probably say Christian. Ask a non-violent Muslim what his or her religion is: "Muslim". So she or he will get banned for their honesty. But the Terrorist will get through. Madness.

No, haters should be free to express their views so that we can judge for ourselves how hateful they are. We can judge that for ourselves, we don't need someone to tell us what's hateful. Censoring hateful views protects the haters from ridicule, but it also creates a pretext to suppress legitimate debate - the Vexatious tyranny.

Yes, I'd choose Putin. He's had an interesting life, and I think I understand least his view of the world so I might come away understanding something I didn't before. I can't imagine Trump or La Penne being much fun at Dinner, and while I guess Cameron would be relatively urbane I think he'd struggle to hide his contempt for a pleb such as myself.

As for Trump, 'Unhinged' doesn't even scratch the surface. Still, at least it's made the US presidential election somewhat more entertaining to hear about.

He's also going to have all sorts of fun with the Supreme Court and a little thing called "constitutional rights" if he gains the keys to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and starts trying to put his "ban muslims from entering the US/force all muslims in the US to register/expel muslims from America" rhetoric into effect.

And that's before he gets to the logistical headache of finding those muslims in America who a) are non-Asian, b ) shave off their beards, bin the dishdash/hijab and wear Western clothes, c) eschew the mosque and go underground, and d) who were law-abiding and integrated but now feel it's time to assert their Second Amendment rights in the face of the removal of their First Amendment rights.

And a year ago Putin was the Antichrist ref Ukraine. I've always seen though where he has been coming from. I know he is not a western politician's cup of tea. The funny thing is he has acted exactly as they would have. And he loves his mother country. As I do England. So in a funny way I can relate to him. Now where's that bear I can wrestle??

'We' don't like him because he's seen through the chimera of British world power. We are exactly as he sees us; insignificant.
