From what i have heard, LA Fitness are bringing in a scheme where you have to have a permit to park in the car park, and it starts in september sometime.

to be quite honest, i really dont like Heart FM!

2ten was a great little radio show that was only for berks, but heart has different stations round england. so im guessing they have taken over other radio stations too.

Id rather have no radio on than listen to Heart. Their jingles are far too cheesy

QUOTE (Andrea @ Aug 10 2009, 10:41 AM) *
I'm a VF bus user and I agree that northbrook street should be made completely traffic free. A couple months ago when it was closed to all traffic, the busses were diverted to go to the bus station instead. I found it much quicker and easier for the bus to go this route. In a way I was hoping northbrook street would stay blocked by work for longer laugh.gif

I too am a VF bus user, and i totally agree with you, it was much quicker as it didnt have to slow down for pedestrians!

This is about: http://www.newburytoday.co.uk/News/Article...articleID=10762

Im disgusted at the town council for sending a letter to these grieving parents. I can understand if the parents didnt look after the grave or if it looked messy, but it doesnt.

It is bad enough losing an adult, but losing a baby is even more difficult, even more so for the mother after carrying the baby for 8 months. There is probally no more flowers/gifts than on a normal adault grave, but with all the family paying their respects and laying down all the flowers it must seem alot for the tiny grave. My sympathy goes to these parents, i think the town council is being far too harsh on them.

Give them some leaway! im sure if it was someone at the council, the rules wouldnt apply!

Sorry, i dont agree with you.

Greenham was once one of the main airfields in Britain and people shoud be used to these aircraft flying over at close range. We get them all the time over our house and its gone within seconds.

As for your puppy, i understand completely what you mean , my dog hates fireworks. But i cant help feel that if you knew it was still going on, why do you keep going to greenham?

Im not meaning to be rude, so please dont think i am smile.gif

I think the new cinema will bring new life to the town, because i should think there will be swarms of people going to Newburys cinema. Plus when the films finish people will want to visit the shops on the way. ( thats if its during the day time) so i think the shops will pick up too.

I also got told that the cinema is being built into the 2nd floor of the kennet centre... which few people know about exists!! so i think thats where some screens will go.

I for one am very excited about the cinema, as people said, it wont be so arduous having to go to Reading or Basingstoke. Just hop on a bus and go into newbury. Lets hope some nice food outlets go with it e.g. Nandos yummy
