Hey, I was walking through town today and noticed the old Animal clothes shop was being worked on. There was a bit of a give away as to what type of store it is going to be, as there are big pictures of Apple products plastered all over the boarding. http://www.stormfront.co.uk/newbury.htm An Apple dealer.

Just glanced over their website and they are NOT an Apple Store so I don't care.
Apple stores are cool because all of those guys in skinny jeans hang out in them and I like feeling powerful so I push them out of the way.

QUOTE (Turin Machine @ Sep 20 2011, 11:29 PM) WoW, ............ an Apple store ! "Newbury, Where dreams come to die" Isn't this taking niche marketing to extremes? I mean, how many single fruit shops make a go of it? Orange seem to, but what next? Kiwi? Ugli? I just don't see it making much impact - hardly core business.....

I just don't see it making much impact - hardly core business..... To be fair something like 60% of people have something Apple in their life, be it a Mac, iPod, iPhone, iRan, iMicrowave...

You might just want to re-phrase that. Doubt if 60% of the planet have somthing 'Apple' in their lives. (unless you have the latest figures from Darfur, or Peru, or Zimbabwe. Liberia etc...)

Although I find the iPod is the easiest way to listen to music. The interface just works. However I hate iTunes (the program, not the store) with a passion.

QUOTE (Dodgys smarter brother. @ Sep 21 2011, 01:12 PM) Agreed.
iTunes is a right royal pain. Does yours do the thing where you plug in your iPhone and it completely freezes the application? And then as soon as you unplug it, it MAGICALLY starts responding again. And it takes 2 or 3 plug-in/plug-outs to get your device to actually appear... And then you want to be able to install iTunes on any PC (say your home and work computers) to put music on and find you can't put music on from your work PC even though it's set to manually manage music. And who on earth came up with the idea of deleting ALL the data if you don't want to sync something (Apps are the only thing that syncs on mine and if I uncheck the box it will delete them all!!)

QUOTE (NWNREADER @ Sep 21 2011, 01:53 PM) Radio?
I find these techie things fiddly. Can't for the life of me work out how to change the needle..... What if I want to be able to choose the songs I wanna listen to? Heart plays the same 4 songs all day long, with their presenters gritting their teeth and breathing in through their mouth at every opportunity. AND NOW AFTER LADY GAGA -THHSHFHHHHHHHHHHH- WE HAVE MICHAELA POWA ON THE NEWS -THSHHSHFHHHHHH- AND THEN WE PLAY LADY GAGA AGAIN. No. Newbury sound is OK but it's aimed at people twice my age. Radio 2 is the same story. Radio 1 used to be good but plays indie rubbish most of the time now and while I would listen to 1Xtra, that's DAB only.

Jailbreak it. Legal now. Jail break legal
