Since the digital switchover I keep losing all my BBC channels. I've lost them around half a dozen times so far. If I retune, I can get them back, but it's a pain having to keep retuning.
I had freeview before the switchover and never had this problem at all.
Anyone else experiencing the same problems?

Try post #61 in this thread. You might want to compare notes (e.g. TV model etc.) The short answer is that most people have not had a problem.

Anyone else experiencing the same problems? A lot of this type of loss and picture breakup can be due to a bad connections on the aerial cables in and out of a digibox, if that is what you are using. Check right through from point of entry from the first connection to the last, this may help. Also if you have an aerial that is a fraction off line you can get the same results, picture breakup and channel loss. You really need a swr meter to find the right alignment to correct this. These faults did not always show up with the analog system

Or maybe that is an expression you have not come across.

As has been said, if you are having problems it is due to your local set up somewhere.

The alternative to Sky is Freesat, unless you want all the additional channel packages (e.g. Sports, Movies) that Sky offers, and you are willing to pay for them. With Freesat you get BBC1 HD, BBC HD, ITV1 HD and C4 HD. And you don't need to make any changes to your setup if you have an existing dish, apart from cancelling your direct debit. You certainly don't get any fewer channels than Freeview, anyway (and some time-restricted channels on Freeview are full-time on Freesat).
