So £85000 for a splash pad for use, with luck a couple of months a year, and oh dear another of our famous councils usual antics, on opening day it is found the water pressure is not high enough for the expected design? Is there any one at the council qualified in project management?
What services will need to be cut to find the extra cost of supplying and fitting a more powerful pump?

Is it any wonder Burghfield are requesting to leave West Berkshire can Newbury have a referendum to leave as well? cool.gif

Its certainly made quite a splash politically.

I''ve not seen the local Tories so animated, they've even started making up friendly Facebook users. Some advance; not long back they didn't even know where the on switch was.

This must be one of the best diversion tactics we've seen for ages round here, real political spin. You have to hand it to Cllr Fish, the boy's done good! The only detail I think they missed is the absence of a drinking bowl for guide dogs.

Lets hope they have a good summer, once the days get shorter and the leaves start to fall, I guess it will be as empty and forlorn as the adult exercise area. By then, the cuts will have been put to bed and we can all go back to sleep.,

So, Cog, they didn't need any upgraded water supply; its already served its purpose!
