I saw this and was rather disappointed:

http://www.newburytoday.co.uk/news/home/22...of-newbury.html

What we were all praying for really was a sculpture of our very own Julian Swift-Hook; a man surely deserving of an edifying work of art?

When what is needed is a statue of Jeremy Corbyn, somewhere for the local libtards to worship.

Good to see the sculptor has captured the essence of John Winchcombe by depicting him holding 2 fingers up to Newbury' proletariat as they pass by. History should be in the fiction section of the library of life .

Not a good idea as it would have over-run on cost, been delivered late or not at all and worst of all, the planning would have failed to deliver a statue that did what was hoped for.

Says it all really, local authorities cutting back on essential services but can find money down the back of Council plush sofas for bronze statues!
