http://www.wikilovesmonuments.org.uk/?pk_c...n=Centralnotice.

Just a passing thought. For the 1st time The UK is included in an annual global photographic competition.

I added the link which I have yet to fully read myself. I seems to run during September each year.
Not every Wikipedia page has the link which I have posted. Time to charge up the battery and dust the lens?

I looked up Donnington and there are heeps of keeps. (photos on Wiki page) So maybe a pilgrimage elsewhere,
I like industrial snaps so perhaps the canal has some special old buildings.

This looks kind of cool, certainly an interesting idea. I might have a go myself.

Hi Strafin. It seems more exciting than the average photo competition... Sunsets for Claude and so on.

Looking at the rules it only includes listed buildings this year.
Also looking at the rules it looks as if wiki likes to add images to their pages, as you say that sounds cool.

Slight quandry as I have old snaps of a house I lived in during the 1960s. It was listed in 1997.
I also have snaps from 2003 when I returned to stay as a part had become B&B.
I had to clone out a few bits I disapproved of!
It was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott in about 1870.
Architect of my local 'International Hub', St Pancras station. Too many pictures of that though.
I think it might be a bit impolite to post a private house. There are web sites of listed buildings all over the country.
Most of West Mills is listed.

The Old Bluecoat School, Thatcham is listed Grade 1.

Looks like it has been around since MM got his first set of crayons.
Pity about the spot they chose to build it. No future proof building regs back then.
In America, yet to be discovered ,they would jack it up and move it to a nicer spot.
