UK economy contracted for the second month in April. Car production down 24%. Overall production down 2.7%. There's definitely a pattern emerging.

Yes. It's called Newres.

I see it's gonna be a 20 percent basic rate of tax up to 80k under Bo Jo. Gets my vote. 🤣 It will attract people that create jobs and the overall tax take will eventually rise.

Meanwhile in la la land...

https://metro.co.uk/2019/06/10/plan-10-hour...labour-9878450/

I suppose with the Labour idea I'd get the next 6 days off till next Monday, having done my 10 hours today... Corbyn=Venezuela. .. good luck.

BJ won't get a chance to do anything if he tries to force a no deal Brexit. I liked what Rory Johnson had to say about "sinister forces" promising something they know to be impossible. Obviously BlowJob has form. I can't see the Tories avoiding a split.

From the article itself

"The radical report titled The Ecological Limits of Work by the Autonomy Group states unless current carbon emissions are cut there would be an ‘unprecedented decrease in the economic activity’. It says the sustainable work week would likely be ‘well below 10 hours per week"

That isn't a plan to slash everyone's hours, it's the outcome prediction of a report.

You people need to stop closing your eyes and ears to everything that doesn't support your agenda, that's why we haven't got Brexit yet, because nobody just deals in facts anymore, everything is twisted to suit a tribal argument.

They know perfectly well it's nonsense but they don't care. As you say, to people of a certain persuasion facts are no longer considered important. Just like honesty and integrity. Eventually we'll pay a heavy price for it.

The 'Autonomy Group' is very new and is essentially a random collection of leftish academics and journalists. They have been looking mainly at employment. This latest report simply takes old pre existing data about productivity against demand and extends it by adding assumptions about automation and energy provision. Makes good headlines, but certainly not fact. It's distortion at best; frankly fake news, but give them their due, they did get them noticed.

Do you have any evidence of that or is it just another of your gammony opinions?

Yeah, and of course the right and correct way to deal with these idiots is to paper their exploits all over social media, thus depriving them of the oxygen of publ ~ ahh, wait.

Do you have a crystal ball or are you just listening to the same experts that seem to predict every election wrong and have spectacularly failed in predictions as to what would happen when we voted to leave 3 years ago? Don't know about you, but if people keep predicting things and NONE of it turns out to be correct, I tend to ignore them. But you believe what "they" tell you.

First Farage says the people of Peterborough didn’t know what they were voting for and now they are claiming their votes were burnt. Couldn’t make it up.
