It seems that the only way we can get redress is to take drastic action. Ringing up means you just get fobbed off. Good on the man for not taking their nonsense.

I also read in today's Newbury Weekly News of a man who had his car confiscated by the police because he had no insurance. Actually he did, but they refuse to refund him for taking his car. It seems we are living in a police state or a power game with big business were ordinary men and women are just abused and fobbed off.

When I first got a mobile phone many, many years ago I bought a Vodafone one, in support, what I thought, was for a local company which I believed we should support. Sadly they didn't think of us in the same way so I quickly moved away from their services. Dealings can wake one up quite quickly. Their loss.

Quite right, if you are unhappy with any organisation, do something about it. The good bit about this was that in the end Vodafone actually did something positive. There are some organisations that woukd have just called the Police...

I am currently a vodafone user, but it is such story's as this that makes me think that I should change. But aren't they all the same? If I moved wouldn't I be jumping from the fire to the frying pan? They are all greedy business men who just want your money and offer little in return. Sad really!

They probably are, but I have changed from Vodafone after getting ever more expensive service for poorer coverage. I'm with Tesco now and am quite happy. My calls are capped so no fear of an 'accident'.

They did something positive because they were forced into doing something about it. Remember; his first steps were rebuffed. It wasn't until he took did something drastic that he had to act.

Yes, but that also would depend on what sort of coverage they think they would get out of it. In this case it would have damaged them.
