Jumping the lights puts lives at risk, but perhaps if the crossing didn't blight so many people's lives on a daily basis, and perhaps if people were not routinely kept waiting so long, fewer people would try it on!

It is about time the rail operators were fined for keeping people waiting. tongue.gif

Isn't it flashing like an amber light?
As in if you are nearly on the tracks then you can't stop, as there's a marked zone on the road around 10ft back from the barries on both sides..
I wonder how much they are going to fine you for this then.......

Maybe you ought to revise your highway code. First there is a steady single amber light which gives you plenty of time to stop before the twin red lights start flashing.

I'm wondering if subconsciously the average motorist doesn't view twin flashing lights to be as "important" as a single steady red light (like at road junctions). Maybe Thatcham lab should carry out perception tests.

Excuses, excuses!!
Perhaps the perpetrators caught by BTP may use that in court! tongue.gif

Maybe you ought to shut yer' face, you understand?
I don't really go over the crossing because my car bottoms out so it makes no difference to me.

Last time I went over it was probably in 1993 in the back of my Mums Volvo 340 redline. laugh.gif

Well if you can't accept you were wrong without resorting to offensive language, you lost the argument.

Perhaps you'd better not attempt any other level crossing, then.

Especially if he doesn't understand the markings or lights.
He could end up with slightly more damage than his car bottoming out!! sad.gif

You need to watch more movies! laugh.gif

And stop being so easily offended and so defensive. You are worse than a chav on a council block. "you lookin at me funny blud i'll mash you".
It's not an argument for a start.
There is no winning and losing, there is only taking part.
Although as we are not arguing there is nothing to be taking part in. Kind of like doing a 3 legged race by yourself using a stool.

Because you've nothing better to do!
