So on the face of it one may assume that now it is common knowledge that this speed camera is a fake, motorists will completely ignore it and the residents of Great Shefford will be subjected once more to selfish driving, but, because it will supposedly give carte blanche to those who see fit to break the law, plod with his speed gun will be able to turn up and bag vast numbers of errant drivers, thus swelling local coffers. Brilliant ideas usually start from necessity.
