Chear is an obsolete spelling of cheer - evidently not yet obsolete in Andy C's household.

Have you ever thought it could be a typing error? And yes, you are a grammar Nazi. Petra would love you.

I think Andy Capp has got it right; you are a d*ck (and by the way, I don't mean duck! wink.gif )

Introduction to the Songs of Innocence
By William Blake

Piping down the valleys wild
Piping songs of pleasant glee
On a cloud I saw a child.
And he laughing said to me.

Pipe a song about a Lamb;
So I piped with merry chear,
Piper pipe that song again—
So I piped, he wept to hear.

Drop thy pipe thy happy pipe
Sing thy songs of happy chear,
So I sung the same again
While he wept with joy to hear

Piper sit thee down and write
In a book that all may read—
So he vanish'd from my sight.
And I pluck'd a hollow reed.

And I made a rural pen,
And I stain'd the water clear,
And I wrote my happy songs
Every child may joy to hear

Dock?.....
Apologies for going into Spelling Stormtrooper mode...as penance I had every intention of offering myself up to the forum Gods by immolating myself in the back garden with the last of the barbecue fuel but sadly the weather tonight made it difficult for the fire to take hold....

I'll try and be less of a dack next year though.

In the meantime best wishes to all and good health in 2016.

Have a Happy Hogmanay......... and lang may yer lum reek!

I have never, ever, not now, not in the past or future EVER have a god.
I so wish this idiot population we are part of would admit there is no friggin god.
And as for that other moron religion, nuff said.

Why, if someone who was attempting to get into local/national government as a non believer
would they never get past the first post?

I find making an absolute judgement like has little difference with 'deciding' there is definitely a god. I say 'decided', as I think things like belief is involuntary; a by-product of our imagination. I think people who see faith as a simple decision between belief in God or not, probably don't understand the reason for man's indulgence in religion.

I'm a 'weak atheist' by the way.

Nor have I, however, I did say his God... not mine.
