Bad Service.
My son and I went to Curry’s to get some electrical goods. We kept asking for help but were told that others were in front of us (fair enough) and that they were short of staff. But every time a new customer came in they were seen straightaway. Eventually somebody came and saw us, but he didn’t have a clue about the product and their ‘specialist’ didn’t work on certain days or certain hours. My son wanted a new TV and certain other equipment so he was going to spend quite a bit of money. After awhile we went to Basingstoke and got what we could have got in Newbury. There was no organisation; they were running around like headless chickens. We weren’t the only ones that walked out of Currys in the Retail Park at that time.
Now we appreciate that stores are going to be busy and that we can’t always be serviced straight away; but we don’t expect to see others (who had just came in) being serviced before us. And their staff should at least be trained in the appropriate area. We actually went to Curry’s in Basingstoke and saw a young girl there who knew about the product and was very helpful; full marks to Curry’s in Basingstoke and the girl who served us.
