Does anybody know how long this will be going on for? I assume that it is an insurance issue since the hole on Old Bath Road was repaired pretty quickly and I could have removed the debris from this incident with my bare hands several times over by now.

Just suppose the wall that fell hadn't been constructed properly, rest of the brick work would need removing - quite costly job. So a detailled examination, the determination of liability and for repairs may become extended.

I’m told it wasn’t “tied in” when it was refaced. That being the case out unsafe so I reckon months.

I admire your optimism. rolleyes.gif . Bit like Sainsbury's car park, they could have pulled the old one down completely and rebuilt it in the time it has taken. And that started out as a bit of a leak off the top floor. Little wonder we are so behind schedule with our house building programme.

Sainsbury's have signs up all round the store entrances about how they are improving "your car park".

Well, if it is my car park, I object to the ridiculous 2 hour time limit and any enforcement contract with a private parking company - I guess as I was not party to either the planning permission or the parking contract, I can simply ignore these irritations on 'my' car park

By the same token you could invest in a couple of hundred wheel clamps and charge everyone who had the audacity to park in "your" car park. Nice little earner. biggrin.gif

With you on that!

Suspect the 'your car park' is simply a clever legal device to avoid any liability for things that might happen in what most would reasonably assume is 'their car park'.

Interestingly, Sainsbury's have staff directing traffic - thus assuming liability in the case of a collision...

I think that if you are driving any vehicle you are responsible for your own actions regardless of any other influences surely?
