When you are in a hole stop digging......

So it seems we may well have spent a large sum of money unnecessarily and with little likelihood of getting much if if back. Presumably we aren't going to hear any more of that crass gung-ho fighting talk which has so damaged credibility. It's pretty clear that someone has dropped one, big time and there is now an investigation which ought to be pretty painful. OK, yes, I'm pretty annoyed that we've lost a big sum, specially now in times of financial stress, but at long last, they've found the guts to admit the problem. And yes, whatever else he may or may not be doing, RUP has been as good as his word and raised the challenge.

I've never quite understood why the Council ever thought the damage to Victoria Park was so difficult or costly to fix.
