I think that one of them should volunteer for Seppuku.

Seppuku was originally reserved for samurai warriors. So you think we are good enough to be part of that great tradition then? wink.gif tongue.gif

I wouldn't mind doing it; the only problem I would have is the pain afterwards (but I am assured that it doesn't last long laugh.gif )

And mine; when I was a kid my dad took me to see some of the greats; Mick McManus, Count Bartelli, Jackie Pallo, Dr Death etc. When I lived in Australia I saw some of the great American wrestlers of the tme; world champions Jack Brisco, Stan 'the man' Stasiak and Mark Lewin, Spyros Arion, King Curtis etc. Those were the days. tongue.gif

Didn't he have a trial for the Arsenal once, but ended up playing for Accrington Stanley.

I am unlikely to add that many comments here, as for the sake of decorum, I regrettably have had, for the first time ever, to add someone to an ignore list.

It would be interesting to know what has happened to all those well known named wrestlers. Watching the wrestling on teli now is nowhere as much fun as it used to be.Years ago everything stopped at 4 o.c on Saturdays as it was time for a cuppa and watch the box.

I agree. I not only watched the wrestling but my dad used to take me to see some of the stars. When my parents moved to Australia I watched some of the great American wrestlers and some world champions. In those days it was believable and enjoyable. Now it is too comical and over the top.

Mick McManus is an after dinner speaker. Jackie Pallo I believe is dead. So is Count Bartelli. Big Daddy is also dead. Kendo Nagasaki has retired.

But, yes, I totally agree with you.

Yes, that is an intelligent approach; sadly not everybody is like you.
