What is it about Thursdays? Every week this one day is the worst of the week for morning traffic. It takes twice as long to get from Thatcham to the Robin Hood as any other day.

Anyone got any ideas?

Perhaps it's because it's pension day for those aged 60 to 79?

Perhaps you should read what you (mis)quoted first. Presumably pensioners aged 0 to 19 get paid on a Monday.

Appears WBC employees can't read or understand government documentation no wonder we're in such a mess!

"Charter" Market / NWN day?
Seems most do their shopping in town traditionally still on this day?

Apparently the big weekly shop is on the way out, and it's "little and often" these days. Yes, I'm sure it's because it's the day that the NWN is published that there are all these traffic jams. smile.gif

It was pretty clear JeffG. Age is catching up with MM so he pops into Town every Thursday just to pick up his pension and NWN plus a few bits from the market!
We'll have to try and convince him to get his pension paid to his bank and that his local shop does apples and the NWN. Then that would be one less car, cos he could nip to the shop in his slippers.

Oh well. It seems I am in a minority of one. I am guessing he meant he still does a weekly shop.
