You couldn't make it up . Indeed if one did then sharing a cell with an eighteen stone gorilla called George could be your reward . cool.gif

It's incredible that , a: there are people out there with nothing better to do than look for and complain about this stuff, and, b: people take them seriously.

Another example;
"Police have been called in to investigate a race row at a village carnival after participants 'blacked-up' their faces for a float depicting the Jamaican bobsleigh team.
The men had donned black face paint and built a float based around the 1993 comedy film, Cool Runnings, for the annual Bank Holiday carnival in the seaside resort of Aberaeron, West Wales, on Monday.
But the decision by organisers to allow the float into the procession provoked fury from the local Labour Party in Ceredigion which described it as 'racism – pure and simple.'

Note of course it was Labour who complained. On a positive note, they won the prize for "most original costumes"

And another;

"Police are investigating an allegation of abuse aimed at Morris dancers who were heckled for wearing black face-paint."

Again, complaint about "racism", except the practice has been part of the Morris tradition for centuries and as nothing to do with black people. But hey! So what! Let's all get offended right!

Like the "scientific" (ahem) report that PROVED that not looking at someone makes you guilty of 'microracism' a word they had to make up.

The sad part is that we , as of a particular age group , view these incidents with a degree of exacerbation but with both feet in the real world . Fast forward a couple of generations and this kind of incident will be unheard of because we will so sanitised in our actions that we will get our daily instructions from some computerised overlord .
The irony is that our language on such outlets as social media have degenerated into a mono syllabic diatribe that is beyond control.

The Offence Industry is booming in this country.
Offence is a perception which is unique to the individual.
I find many modern things which did not exist several years ago offensive, but I would have little chance of any complaint making any difference.
The cases in this post, as most are, are the result of someone doing the offending for us.
It is their perception, not ours, but their ridiculous voices are still heard and acted upon.
