http://www.newburytoday.co.uk/2013/meat-lo...-the-racecourse

I have just come back from seeing him at the O2 which cost me nearly £200 for the both of us, and it was amazing. I think it is a real coup for the racecourse to get another massive star to perform there. We have had Rod Stewart, Tom Jones and many other great acts have graced us in recent years and the price is only £35! He will be performing ALL of Bat out of **** and some other hits of his as well, so a full length concert. I don't live far from the racecourse but I know some of the people who live closer don't always approve of the concerts, and I can understand that, but I for one think we have an excellent venue and facility, and I am glad they are using it.

Fan bl**din' tastic!
I still have a 12" single of Bat Out of ****, in blood red, amongst many other vinyl discs.

I will definitely make an effort to go see!

Eh? Is there a bit missing there before the "and"?

There is a very clear refund policy on the website.

Do keep up. I can't remember the artist, but last year one cancelled and Newbury Racecourse refused to refund on the basis that the racing went ahead. Hence my comment.

Keep up? Why would I refund anyone's money, I offered to buy someone a pint and you said I should be refunding for tickets. You're right Lionel Ritchie did cancel, and there wasn't a full refund because the tickets are for a race day. They have clear terms and conditions, but who reads them when buying anything on line? This time you can buy "insurance" for a quid to guarantee a full refund should the concert not go ahead.

When Meatloaf is mentioned, why do I get the image of a group of fifty-something grey haired guys silhouetted against the skyline playing 'air guitars'?

I admit though, that there is a teenager inside me who is wearing jeans and a cheesecloth shirt wanting to join them. Sad but true!

Because you are making a generalisation and tarnishing a group of people with a common interest as being all the same.
