QUOTE (Andy Capp @ Sep 3 2012, 11:24 AM) This initiative is more about getting the economy moving than anything else. I do welcome the move as a home owner, the idea of mixing social housing class people with private class people has never really worked.

QUOTE (andy1979uk @ Sep 3 2012, 11:57 AM) The banks have massivly relaxed lending criteria now It was this policy that got some of us to where we are now. QUOTE (andy1979uk @ Sep 3 2012, 11:57 AM) not being funny about my post but where I live there is a section of social housing and if you walk through it you can tell straight away. There are also examples where this is not the case, although it is obvious that people in social housing will look less affluent than those that are private.

It's worked for hundreds of years, what are you talking about? What you mean is you don't like having social tenants near you because you think you are better. That's fine but you need to be better than that and get yourself a house that's not on an estate then you wouldn't have that problem.

Don't really have that problem, just don't agree with people living in decent area who don't work.

Goodness what a charming attitude. So you are 'better' than people who live in social housing are you? That would make people who own a larger & more expensive home than yours better than you are wouldn't it? Seems to me there are plenty of chavs who have a mortgage. Just as there are plenty of decent people living in social housing. Equally, plenty of them work for a living too. Bank balance is absolutely no guide to how 'decent' a person is.

Bank balance is absolutely no guide to how 'decent' a person is. Possibly, but it is a fact that people who are placed in social houseing include people at the bottom of the social scale.

QUOTE (andy1979uk @ Sep 3 2012, 04:43 PM) Drug addicts, work shy and serial baby makers do not have mortgages/ Some of them certainly do. As do people who have no friggin' idea how to do something as basic as use an apostrophe.
