Well I guess that is the true measure of Gordon Brown, blow sunshine at you in public and kick you in the nuts behind your back. Goodbye Gordon, hope you enjoy your new job

I'm no fan of Brown, and this obviously isn't very good PR, but it doesn't sound like he necessarily was wrong in calling this woman a bigot. QUOTE bigot (n)
1. one who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices 2. one who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ.

QUOTE (Strafin @ Apr 28 2010, 04:59 PM) She only asked him a couple of questions. As her opinion differed and Brown was intolerant of it, perhaps it is he who is the bigot. She asked him questions, but didn't draw breath to hear the answers. That doesn't make her a bigot though.

QUOTE (Strafin @ Apr 28 2010, 08:24 PM) I've just seen the UKIP election broadcast, shakey start with Frank Maloney but otherwise pretty convincing. In fact it convinced me and probably Mrs Strafin who so far has shown nothing but contempt for all politicians. I saw it as well. I agree, but it got better. Also; Nigel Farage has got his memoirs out... I've just ordered it from Amazon. In 1992 by-election in Newbury I helped him and Alan Skedd (who stood as a candidate here) fight the seat. I also remember Mandelson, Lord Sutch and a few others at the count at the Race course.

Sorry, but it is not bigoted to question levels of our immigration or if changes are to be made to controlling immigration. The left play the "bigoted" card as a method to stiffle any discussion on immigration.

QUOTE (Darren @ Apr 29 2010, 01:33 AM) Of course no-one here ever says one thing to someone's face and something totally different behind their back.
Just saying.... That is very true, but we don't get caught as this idiot has!!

QUOTE (Bloggo @ Apr 29 2010, 08:47 AM) I agree, this is a blatant form of bullying. The thing is... Is anyone actually surprised? Everyone knew he as was a bully and even his own party admitted this. Also Gillian Duffy mentioned the word that is blasphemy to all politicians. The word that shall remain unspoken. 'Immigration'. A bit like the word 'Europe' really. How's that particular project going? Oh Greece, Spain, Portugal...... Germans having to bail Countries out to the tune of Billions.. No wonder the Germans want their Deutcshe Mark back.... Thank God the Politicians knew the Great British Public would have told them where to stick the Euro otherwise we would have had even more pain to suffer in the near future.
