Does anyone else find this a bit rich?
NWN ask readers to send in photos, then put them on their website offering prints for sale.
For example - http://www.newburygallery.co.uk/viewpicture.tlx?albumid=188003&pictureid=8061078
Local newspapers have always done this (made prints of published photos available). I assume the charge is to cover materials/processing/mailing costs.
Depends on whether
A. The photographer has allowed them to be sold
B. How much commission NWN take for the sale
C. Is there a valid 'Model Release Form' for anyone who is identifiable in them.
Plus a myriad of other copyright questions.
Readers' photographs, in this case those in the gallery marked Your Snow Pictures, are digitally marked when we submit them to the gallery and can not be purchased by anyone.
