We have received an invitation to a public exhibition on Wednesday 25 January between 3:00-8:00pm at Shaw House from David Wilson Homes to view and comment on their proposed residential development at Hutton Close.

“As a resident, neighbour or regular visitor to Shaw, we warmly invite you to view an exhibition showcasing the design proposals for residential development for the land at Hutton Close.

David Wilson Homes wants to engage with people that have an interest in the development throughout the planning process. At this early stage, we would like to invite you to this public exhibition to view and consider our early thoughts on the development proposals and for you to tell us what you think we have got right, and anything you think we might have missed.

We would like to work in partnership with West Berkshire District Council and residents in shaping our proposals.”

We have queried with both our local councillors and the CEO of West Berks about the potential increase in the volume of traffic along Shaw Road, Shaw Hill and Kiln Road already very busy roads leading to and from the Robin Hood roundabout.

Not long before Thatcham becomes just a suburb of Newbury. It's already becoming difficult to know where one finishes and the other one starts.
