Heard there is a 'Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe' opening in Newbury this month, anyone know where?

Noticed a poster today in the window of the former Thorntons shop, next to starbucks advertising for staff for Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shop. No opening date as yet.

Isn't there Thorntons outlets within other shops in West Berks? A Thorntons shop just didn't make sense any more when you could access the same range (if not more) whilst also buying cards and gifts in the same shop. I know there is definately one store in Thatcham.

I wish the new shoppe well, especially if they have cola cube, midget gems, millions and such like :-)

"Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe" is now open where Thorntons used to be in the high street. Nice interior, selling lots of ye olde style sweets and chocs. Didn't buy anything though but might pop back in next time I have some spare pocket money....
