As a Brexiteer I'm desperate they keep him. Corbyn is the most unelectable opposition leader in history. He makes Michael Foot look right wing. Interestingly the Brecon bye election was still won as a percentage of leave v remain by leave. Even after all the warnings. The problem remain have is views are now so entrenched that no amount of scaremongering will work. People have just had enough. Personally I've reached the don't give a sh1t stage. I'll still vote leave but don't actually care now as long as something happens on Oct 31st. Anymore delay and I see civil unrest by both sides! One word of warning though to the EU evangelists. The new plan In the EU into get rid of vetos and have majority voting to implement new laws and regulations. Don't even get me started on what that might mean...

I don’t see anything wrong with majority voting. I honestly don’t get the fear. I’m guessing you’re all ok with the EU navy? It’s just hilarious. Or it would be.

Incidentally, other than very isolated incidents, there has been and would be no unrest from the Remain side. Whatever the outcome.

Majority voting opens up the possibility of fraudulent behaviour to get votes. It also stops a country with a veto (us) from having to accept things we don't want. Like the Euro. As for civil unrest, yes I am sure remainers wouldn't do civil unrest. They are too busy being preachy about how intelligent they are and how thick brexiteers are. Some may call it arrogance. I call it facism.

This current government won't make it beyond 31st October so it is probably best to outline their plans sooner rather than later because otherwise they won't get the chance to do so at all.

And what will happen after a GE. My guess... a hung parliament with the Tories as the biggest party or a small majority for them. 😂 Won't solve anything...did you see the "protests?" yesterday? Never seen so many middle class white people in one place. Sums it up.

But someone started a petition! That'll scare Boris off. 😂

Your naivety is sweet. He won’t split the Tory party. An electoral pact with Farage would do that.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 wrong again. Me right again. Seems to happen quite a lot.

I can see what BJ is doing, but he's playing with fire. Brinkmanship is one thing but he's betting the pot on a pair of eights, gunna crash n burn and hand the whole game over to the dark lord of Marxist chaos.

Can't see it myself. Only a 1/4 of the electorate would ever be mad enough to vote in Steptoe. If BJ gets 40 percent of the vote by joining forces with Farage it gets him a comfortable majority. The only way he could lose is if there was a Lib/Lab/Green pact to only deploy 1 candidate on a remain ticket.

Strange bedfellows indeed. If I was Boris I would call an election for the first week in November which would certainly concentrate the minds of the remain brigade who then would have no platform to campaign from. Assuming we have left with "no deal" only a mentally deranged orangutan would vote for corbyn and his brand of economics.
Of course we could all wake up one morning to find the whole thing has just been a bad dream with cameron and osborne still in charge. rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

René Descartes no doubt would approve of the political mindset that seems to be inherent in those who wish to serve. Least it keeps the journalist element employed.

Benyon is no longer a Conservative MP. Was always going to vote for staying in the EU. Didn't want to lose his CAP payments. At least he won't be the Tory MP for Newbury anymore.
