Newbury Today Forum _ Random Rants _ Marcus Rashford

I am pleased that Marcus Rashford (or is it Daniel 🤣) has successfully campaigned to get kids fed this Summer and I applaud him.

I would add though that I hope anyone abusing the scheme has the full condemnation of everyone...including prosecutions.

You know very well that won't happen. Just employ hundreds of personnel to "educate" the poor unfortunates who have suffered decades of Tory under investment.
The principle is sound, but as is the case in most of these ventures, it will be exploited.

I don't think there's much hope for you lot.

Perhaps there would be enough money for it if taxes were recovered with the same amount of vigour, Not to mention the billions banks and other institutions robbed the public.

It's populist politics again, a dangerous road.

in reality, it's just a stretch of the LibDem scheme to feed school kids, launched in the hope we'd forget about abolishing tuition fees. Just as grounded too.

So, now we are feeding them, how about adding dormitories to schools and letting kids stay there too? That would lift the bar and make state schools replicas of public schools - abolishing class difference at a stroke.
