Surprised the NWN hasn't picked up on this story yet; it's a very strange & sad tale

Truly awful story.

I've known her ex husband since school and know just how upset he is.

I'm not sure if the poor woman's picture in that condition should be on public display though, despite her families permission.

Some people, including children friends and ex collegues may understandably find it deeply distressing.

Lets just hope they can find the boyfriend and pin something on him. The pictures were deeply upsetting, but hopefully they can prevent another young woman suffering the same fate. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

That was a very tragic story.... so sad.

I am also surprised and shocked that the Newbury Weekly News didn't pick it up either. Maybe they thought the story wasn't worth it.

I agree that the pictures were very 'deeply upsetting' and disturbing.

Nothing like trial by newspaper.

And did the NWN show their appreciation by giving you a remuneration? And did a note come with that remuneration saying 'We appreciate doing the job our highly tuned and professional staff failed to do and to show our appreciate we'd like to give you a day's wages - of £1,000 - of one of our journalists. I hope you accept this with our gratitude' or something like that. Don't be bashful, I bet they did.... They are a credit to Newbury to our local community. Always showing their appreciation to its readership and forum users.

I've contributed a few pictures of my own to the Newbury Weekly News and I just know that they are dying to send me a cheque for £10,000 to show how much they love me as well. Don't you just love them? laugh.gif wink.gif

PPS When I get my cheque from them I will donate it to charity.

GMR, I think you 'choose' some really strange times (and threads) to be flippant.
