Just got an intention to prosecute notice for speeding on the same stretch of road but going the other way! In fact, I was allegedly going slightly faster! Oh well, that's probably another £100.00 not going into the local economy! tongue.gif

That I'll teach me not to plug my satnav back in after having my car repaired.

Bit extra into your insurer's coffers perhaps.

Maybe if you slowed down a bit you might expel a little less NOx, and CO2 into the atmosphere! wink.gif

Quite tricky really. You never expect a rubbish Ford to give you the blue light on an empty M11.
Pulled over safely, did all the details, then he asked me about the shotgun....Blimey.
I can't shoot. Had a go in CCF with a .303- total rubbish and it hurt. And I don't have a Purdy.

So where did that come from apart from a word in his ear,or do all BMW drivers have a 12 bore in the boot?

Do you mean Purdey, top notch gun or is Purdy some sort of code for a sawn off or even a licence.

Tbh, sympathy being caught on the same road.

Does it go to the "filth" or somewhere else?

It was a bit astonishing how the insurance was upped. 2 fines. The "previous" was off my papers but Aviva wanted 5 years history.
Which is not altogether fair. I went to Gocompare,
Even less than I was paying before...I am now insured by a side show of Aviva. A bit crazy.

Like Andy Capp. Same road Just going the other way.No HGVs Friday Am. Empty road.
Fair comment from the PC. "People in Fiestas don't see you coming when you hit 100mph."

I stick to 90... otherwise it is a 6 month automatic ban.

My son's godfather was traffic plod in Cambridgeshire.

He once told me that you would be amazed by how often the Essex Constabulary would have to contact Cambridge because their Fords (supporting local industry) couldn't keep up they needed the grunt of the Rover SD1s that Cambridgeshire used.

Bit unfortunate about the use of a tractor by the roadside.
About 3 years ago a slurry cart and tractor pulled into a lay bye to let the Q move on and returned to the road.
Open stretch of road .The inquest decided that a motorbike rider had been going over 100MPH when it hit the tractor .
The tractor driver still empties my septic tank.Life can be cruel.

Quite, but this is for people driving and riding at very dangerous speeds. In my case, I wasn't going very fast and I was proceeding with the flow of traffic in an area with no pedestrians, schools, etc. A veritable money hoover if you ask me.

It wasn't here, but it is a classic:

Agreed this is the primary aim but I have also read that they are catching those "only slightly over the limit" using these methods.
