But your comments are sexist and wrong. If somebody is capable of doing a job then they shouldn't be prevented because of their sex. I see men and women as equal (granted there are those - of both sexes - that we all would consider not equal or even human behaviour... but that is another story).

What is wrong with society is in your post. What is more surprising is that it comes from a woman.

If a woman or a man is capable then nothing should stop them.

I never said anyone should be prevented from doing a job, and no nothing should stop them....But if I walked in a salon and a guy was sat there ready to do my nails I would say no!! They are too rough to do nails, females have the caring touch..lol

And you have never made a joke at someone elses expense?
His joke was not just at the expense of one person, but all women.

I thought it was funny. The only women who seem offended are the ones that look like blokes anyway! Bit like the kick-up about the ageism the other day. The only ones kicking were old women themselves.

Women can't take a joke, that's the problem. No sense of humour.

And you've been done by all men (i.e. your nails done by men) to know this as a fact? It is a bit like me saying I met a couple of girls and they were rough; so all women are rough.

If you have a problem with men doing your nails then the problem is with you, and not the men... or your experience with certain men.

Then you don't know many women then... or your experience with women is very limited.

And as for men looking like 'men'; that is a matter of opinion/ ones own judgement.

The problem with that statement is that it is not just women who found it offensive, and also it wasn't women who complained or got them suspended.

If it was a woman talking about men like that it would still be the same result; sexist. But this debate is not about women but men abusing their position and their ignorance.

That is true, but doesn't make it right.

I've also heard worse, but it was said on national TV and against the company policy. They weren't paid to belittle women or anybody.

The old motto: if you can't take a joke, then you shouldn't sign on.

Women in the work place; bitching and moaning all day. Even women I know think that!

No it's not right but should he of been sacked? No, not in my opinion. It was just a JOKE. Chris Moyles says worse on his programme every morning, he should of been sacked along time ago then...

Quite right to where things women can't understand are concerned.
