Well according to my low tech weather station, the computer software is now stating that we have had 101.3mm of rain so far this April here in Speen.

For those of us who were teached ;-) the old fashioned way that equates to just over:

10 cm or put the other way, about 4 inches.

Well over a third of that total has fallen since Thursday.

So should that not be Drought, what drought!

BTW: Yes we are still in drought, although this drought is mainly due to the way in which we have affected how rain water naturally replenishes the aquafers.

Best Wishes.

I suppose it is complicated by dry fields . But the water goes somewhere.
Norfolk has had flood warnings this week. Mostly riverside but just heavy rain.

I have another neighbour who lives on a slope. My property was called Hill House in 1866.
1 inch higher than the road.
The water runs off fields straight through a neighbours front door.
At least he gets new carpets every so often.

Or even a hand (see other thread) biggrin.gif

It's actually stopped here for a couple of minutes now, and there was a brief glimpse of a shiny thing in the sky (forgotten its name).

Now, now, no need for sarcasm...

Besides we all Thames Valley Police would not take their helicopter out in the rain, as they do not like to get it that wet or worse dirty! :-)
