On a not dissimilar theme Royal Mail has been awarded a contract to distribute and collect Covid19 test kits. So what? I hear you cry as that's what they do, don't they.
Well yes but this "nice little earner" is worth a mouth watering 500 million.
If I was a still working full time I think I would be checking the gas oven by now. angry.gif

Anyone regretting voting for these idiots yet? Exaggerate a new strain to justify the Christmas about turn and we end up under virtual siege.

Are the French still sending their migratory jetsam across the channel does anyone know? Seems to have gone a bit quiet on that front.

Are you sure? Still seems to be a couple of inhabitants expressing the voice of dissent. Maybe if we grovelled to that nice Monsieur Macron he would still let us rejoin his little club, subject to a little ridicule and a lot of euros, then everyone will be happy.
Well apart from the majority of the British public who openly told the Brussels bullies to eff off. laugh.gif

When it is reformed (the EU) it might be worth taking another look. Until then...

I think everyone, whether remain or leave, would agree that as a free trading partner Europe is as ideal as one could wish for.
The problem is 2,000 years of historical disagreement which simmers consistently just below the surface. Ask the average Frenchman his view on the Brits and he will choke on his croque monsieur. Enquire if he preferred a German and he will probably give you a kick on le tibia.
But as in most disputes it is the ruling class that starts it, the hoi polloi that fights it and economics that brings it to a conclusion.

Very doubtful the truth will ever be clarified, though I am not sure that is the real issue here. We can not stop countries doing what they wish, however abhorrent we consider the practice to be, so we need to ensure that we will be ready for the next one that comes along.
It is estimated that there could be as many as 50,000 different viruses floating around at any given time and some are going to kill us. We can't vaccinate against every one of them, but we can make sure that we have a WORKABLE plan in place when they do rock up on our shoreline.
If China wants to play fast and lose with these pathogens then so be it, but that doesn't mean we have to condemn their actions with one hand, but openly trade with them with the other.

The truth is apparently what DC says now...even though the same people 6 months ago were saying he was a compulsive liar...meanwhile labours youngest MP (24) is now off on full pay with PTSD... says if all. Dont get me wrong..MH is a serious issue but at 24?

She is doomed. Wait till life really gets ****

Anyways with a dead fiancee and father (car crashes), a.dead Mum (cancer), and bening assaulted at 17, I'd better start penning my letter to work.👍🤷‍♂️

The generally accepted first instance of PTSD in the UK was some of the children of the October 1966 Welsh mining disaster. It did not appear as a formal diagnosis until the American DSM version in 1980.
Many WW! veterans would have fulfilled the diagnostic criteria

Of course it doesn't mention Covid 19 directly so it is safe to assume that it is intended for something else.
Kids ending up with fatal knife wounds would be my guess, as although infection rates are increasing day on day, only 6 died yesterday with covid, (as opposed to "from", I hasten to add)
Anyway we have to die from something, and a week on a ventilator may be preferable to eighteen months in a care home, condemned to watching day time television and being indoctrinated into believing it is the end of life on planet earth as we know it. .

Get with the program Will. We need to lock down. Till August. And then in August we need to lock down till March as millions will need boosters. And so it never ends.
