Has anyone else noticed the lack of open checkouts at the Pinchington Lane Store just lately. Last Saturday there were queue's of up to 4 trolleys at each till, & also this afternoon it was almost as bad. What happened to their 'No more than 2 people in a queue' rule.
According to inside information from an employee it's because they trying to run the store with the minimum of staff. Yet there are often groups of 3 or 4 men in suits with enough time to stand around scratching their a r s e s.
Get your act together Tesco's there are plenty of people thinking of taking their custom elsewhere. angry.gif

I remember when the new store opened where Comet was, the manager said no one would queue. How is that possible when they normally only ever have 1 or 2 tills open!

Seeing that you park in their car park, what about Sainsbury, they have self checkout.

I am quite happy with Sainsbury's service. And the staff are more friendlier.

Think i might try Sainsbugs again, i haven't even been in there since the refurb. It will also save me a couple of quid parking fee on my Saturday morning trip in to the town. wink.gif

Saw that last week (I think she is brill) but even after watching I could never complain like she said to do as it's just not me. I'm one of the people who moan about it after and never do anything about it (in most cases)

I find Sainsbury's a better shop to shop in than Tesco's. But I suppose it is down the the individual.

I was surprised at Tescos, Pinchington Lane, last night at 9PM to find only one young lady on the check out tills. Nice to see they managed to keep at least one till open besides the self-service ones.

I too think the service at Tesco's is getting worse. I actually walked out a couple of weeks ago because the queues were longer than you get at Christmas.

I agree, it is going downhill fast.

I have been there at 8pm on a weeknight and a lot of the food you want is not there, like orange juice. AND, its been going on like that for WEEKS now.

Some of the staff at Tesco in other places behave like neanderthals.

Tesco is looking decidedly THIRD RATE.

Do you consider a long queue poor customer service then? I don't want to queue for longer than I have to obviously, but waiting a little longer than you would at Sainsbury's is the price you pay for slightly cheaper food.

That's the exact reason I stopped going to Sainsburys, but sadly I have noticed this happening recently as well.
