QUOTE (Biker1 @ Mar 24 2017, 05:14 PM) *
I don't think I have any "mates in GWR" who are at the level of those who decide the on board announcements!
I believe these are decided in collaboration with BTP.
The advice is not what to do if you "spot a terrorist". It is how to report any suspicious items or activity.

I think you might be being a little obtuse, if not pedantic.

Incorrect on both counts.
Just, as I usually do on railway matters, trying to state the facts as I know them.

If they want to waste time and money on a pointless protest I'm happy for them. It won't change anything. 😂

Exactly my point with your comment.

You had no problem understanding JSC's hypothesis, but not mine; however, how I'm meant to know what a terrorist looks like, I am not sure. Could it include someone acting suspiciously, or would GWR prefer it that I keep quiet if I am certain someone is preparing a terrorist act?

Rather like the assertion we will be "free" come Brexit.

So that's your "free to every reader" Guardian diary full for the next two years then?

Monday, Brexit protest.
Tuesday, Brexit protest.
Wednesday, Brexit protest.
And so on, ad infinitum.

I see you are resorting to the newres style approach of insulting remarks instead of debate!
(And yes I know I did in my remarks but to a group of campaigning people not a forum member.
I neither know you or you me Andy so I think your condemnation of your life is unjustified. smile.gif

Why?

Did you get a letter from them asking you to revert to the time-honoured system of you banking with them (rather than vice versa) tongue.gif

I suppose I was actually but my tether has reached it's end with these people.
We're leaving so let's work together to make the best of it and not organise silly marches against the inevitable.
I wonder if the referendum had gone the other way if leavers would have protested in the same way?
I don't know but tend to think not.
Despite the above I'm not as spiteful as you assume.
Just look around you. There are many others worse than I who you are condemned to spend the rest of your life with!! sad.gif wink.gif
