It's probably just me; but the description of the drugs seized in this raid amused me; Herbal cannabis! Seems as if branding has come to crime at last! Will we see Budget Cocaine, or Premier Ecstasy? This was also a BOGOF - 4 for the price of one. New logo soon then, Thames Valley Police; looking after the coppers looking after you. Aaah!

What other types of cannabis are there, that aren't derived from a herb?

there are many kinds - but most can be summed up as 'things novice users buy in the nieve belief it is cannbis'.

AIUI, herbal cannabis is the dried plant, meant for smoking in roll-ups

IOW, only harvested and dried, rather than processed into any other form

There are all sorts of derivitives of cannabis and like with most drugs, all sorts of things can be added to it. That is why it is so dangerous and why it causes so many problems.

So it's fine in its raw state?

I don't think so, others will disagree.

No, I can hear voices and see strange things well enough without the help of medication! Just struck me as very odd that the cannabis seized needed any other description. Did touting it as organic mean that the perpetrator was aiming at more sophisticated market segment?

Who was "touting it as organic"?

Sorry, I was just being figurative, perhaps I do need some medication! Again, just wondering why cannabis needed a descriptor? Have you any clues?

Apparently it comes in different forms, so I've read on Wikipedia.

There is evidence that illicit cannabis is cut with various rubbish that is responsible for most of the harmful affects of smoking it, and there is mixed evidence about whether cannabis itself is harmful.
