Local Singer/Songwriters Jamie Pearce and Matt Hudson entered the OPEN MIC UK talent competition a few months back, and have qualified for the live show in Portsmouth’s Guildhall on Saturday 16th October. If successful at the live show, they will qualify for national finals, competing for the chance to win from the £25,000 in prizes along with having the opportunity to win a recording contract to release their single.

Open Mic UK is an exciting new national talent competition to search for the UK’s best singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists (not bands) of all genres who perform either covers or original material. The competition offers the competitors the opportunity to perform live in front of large audiences, generating media attention and exposure.

The competition is divided into age categories; Under 16, 16-22 and 23 and over and seeks to discover an act that has the ability to become a professional recording artist.

If you like live music and are at a loose end next weekend, why not make a trip to Portsmouth to support a couple of local lads, tickets are only £7.50 each. If you fancy making the trip, message me and I can arrange some tickets for you.

Thanks for your time

Proud Dad? Event Sponsor? Or just a music fan. Either way the whole things pretty cool, and Portsmouth is a great night out!

Do good what? Good deed?

For anyone that's interested the boys made it through and will be performing at the area finals in Portsmouth on Saturday night, and are now just one step from the national finals which will be held at the O2 in london

Tickets are available for the guildhall on Saturday night ;0)

ok I need to do one final Push..... Jamie and Matt REALLY need your support.

The National final for the UK Open Mic contest is on Saturday night and points are scored for the performance on the night and for number of text votes received.

The boys are representing Newbury and could really use your votes. If you would like to spend a quid and vote for them then please text Open92 to 86222

**Text votes cost £1. UK Only. Texting a correct code is the user’s responsibility, check your text carefully before sending. Texts will not count after the deadlines above although you may still be charged.
