WBC are to save £44k a year by not printing agendas for their meetings.

Apparently they currently print and distribute 8,800 agendas each year (80 meetings, 110 on distribution list).

It seems it costs them £5 to send out one agenda! £5! Yes, £5!

“A printed copy is available in Market Street reception and there will continue to be copies available at the meeting. If someone comes to reception and asks for a copy, we would usually direct them to the copy that is held there, or to access them online free of charge at Newbury Library. They could also if they wish pay £5 to cover the cost of printing.”

They will provide them for elected members at meetings, just won't print them and send them to the places that currently recieve them. Surely they could still publish a copy for each of the local libraries?
