I've just been forwarded the WBC newsletter from someone at Theale, and it seems to suggest that there is a special council meeting on the 31st January at 7pm. I thought I'd check the website as I like many people don't get sent the newsletter and guess what??? No mention of said council meeting.

Anyone know what it's about?

I searched for 'meetings' and on the left I saw calendar so I selected that and voilà.

Maybe they didn't want you there?
Maybe your house can be seen on CCTV?
Maybe Grundon 'know where you live'?
Maybe you pressed the wrong key?

Which ones are not? (In accordance with law etc).

The ones you cannot find but others can?

Apparently a "special" meeting is just an additional council meeting, but the public can not ask questions and it will only discuss a couple of issues. The agenda will actually be published next Friday, not a week before either.

The calling notice says the agenda will be published 'in the week before the meeting'. Do pay attention!!!!

Indeed. I wonder if they had a special link set up to your computer so only you couldn't see it. Have you noticed any extra loose paving slaps near where you live?

Just because you are not paranoid, it doesn't mean 'they' are not out to get you.......

Well I rang the number on the bit on the website and spoke to Mrs Fraser, who told me the agenda will be published next Friday as it's a special meeting which means some rules don't apply. So it would appear that I have "kept up" so to speak.

There should be an enquiry into this. The Tory responsible must resign immediately!

Well, the meeting will discuss the suspension of the LDF hearing. The "Tory" responsible for the DF should have resigned months ago!!! laugh.gif

The calling notice is the problem - it should announce that the agenda will be available at least so many days before the meeting. As it is they could publish it 5 minutes before the meeting and still meet their target.
