Newbury Today Forum _ Newbury News _ Norland Nannies on ITV1

They might be based in Bath now, but Hungerford/Denford Park might get a mention- especially if there's anything on the history of the College. As the only previous appearance of Norland on TV that I can recall, was on Treasure Hunt we might get a clip from that.
(I'm still grumpy over the fact Challenge never got round to our edition of the show!]

They did state that Norland began in London, & there was a photo of some nurses in front of the Denford Park Georgian columns. I worked there myself, it was a super trip down Memory Lane for me, although they didn't show nearly enough of the "Norland Way"; the way they make the prams up, the religious cleaning routines, the perfectly folded laundry, the earning of collars & belts etc. I loved my brief time there, the tradition & routines worked wonders for the children, they thrived & had a ball, whether they were in Norland Nursery Day Care or in Residential Care. It was a unique & wonderful place.
