What was surprising was that Tesco staff were unaware of the problem. Do they never leave the store? laugh.gif

And a tailback of cars trying to get into and out of the retail park which prevents cars getting out of the Tesco car park.... honestly, I'd rather shop in the town centre with it's parking charges 'n all than put up with that.. Or shop in Amazingstoke...

Actually that ped crossing by Pizza Hut needs looking at as the setting is such that it's on red for a good 30 to 40 seconds after anybody has crossed.

Why not just go to Sainsbury's?

Some people may dismiss it with a "Woooh... a whole 30 seconds.... can't wait that long, time is just SO precious for you ain't it" But actually 30 or 40 seconds of nothingness for no reason is a real drag, especially when those lights pretty much react instantly to every press of the button by someone wanting to cross... (which is every 30 seconds on a Saturday....)

As I say, may have been sorted by now.

So is, as a pedestrian, you press the button and it takes much longer than that before the lights change for you to cross. angry.gif

Try using a push bike, then you can ignore them!! tongue.gif

No they don't!! angry.gif
See above.
Anyway, I don't think it's the lights that cause the tailbacks. Even if you have to wait at them, on a busy day you soon catch up with the queuing traffic in front .

It won't get any better when a load of Londoners grab all the new houses in Sandleford when it gets built. tongue.gif

Nah, the incoming Londoners will rent former council houses, Sandleford is being built for the locals who rent them out and live off the income!

The retail park in Newbury must have been designed by a muppet in a suit. Why on earth was Tesco and the park across the road designed with a single entrance and exit?

The whole areas is a veritable portal to Hades at the weekends or other peak periods. I only go there off peak or by two wheels.

Is the world divided into muppets and you? tongue.gif
